What We Do

The North Sound ACH presents an opportunity for a multi-sector voice for health and health care system reform, strengthening clinical-community linkages, and identifying innovative solutions to lower costs while increasing the quality of care.

The North Sound ACH is a critical partner with the Health Care Authority in the approved Medicaid Transformation Demonstration Project, focused on improving health for people on Medicaid across the state. Required focus areas include Behavioral Health – Primary Care Integration, Opioids, care coordination and others.

One of our first tasks is to understand the health needs across the region and to map the assets – identifying who is doing good work that we should spread and grow.

Our region is committed to meaningful engagement and discussions with those impacted by the policy focus areas. To that end, we are always open to adding consumers to our committees and workgroups. If you are interested in sharing your insights please contact us at voices@northsoundach.org.

You can read about one of our first projects that has been underway since summer 2016 here, focused on reducing the rate of unintended pregnancies.
